COSMO
A NEW APPROACH IN ELECTRIC GUITAR DESIGN
WHY COSMO?
Cosmos core feature is its freely movable and easily exchangeable pickup system. Sounds complex, but it’s wonderfully simple: The magnetic pickups stay on the sheet metal surface by themselves. Find almost infinite sound colors by moving the pickups!
Without making any compromises in sound, playability and ergonomics, the instrument is reduced to the maximum. The simple construction of Cosmo makes it possible for me to produce custom instruments in Germany at a reasonable price.
With Cosmo you have a sustainably produced electric guitar in your hands. You can actively participate of its creation process and it offers you the opportunity to break new ground in your music.
Pickups
For all of my Instruments I build the unique “Magnet Mount Pickups”. Thanks to their neodymium magnets, they stick to the metal body and can be moved around. Now you can find your very own sound: Under the strings, the “Magnet Mount Pickup” becomes the neck, middle, bridge and “everything in between” pickup. Moving it towards the treble or bass strings also reduces or amplifies them partially. If the pickup is off the strings, the instrument sounds distant and dreamy. Hold it in your hand while playing and fall in love with the intuitive swells.
The “Magnet Mount Pickups” have a wooden case with a scratch free fleece bottom. They are equipped with a robust Teflon-coated cable and SMB plugs.
Cosmo has two pickup inputs and a 6.3mm jack output, that can either be switched to mono or dual mono. That allows you to simply use your trusty mono tube amp, or to go crazy and route each Pickup in a seperate FX chains or record two tracks in your DAW.
CONTROLS
Cosmo is available with or without control knobs for either volume, tone or A/B blend. It depends on your style and preference what to chose. A purists choice is the single pickup / no knob variant wich is very inspiring due to its limitations and capabilities. A master volume knob is essential to those who tame their gain level with the guitar. If youre in constant need of tweaking your sound to the maximum perfection the two kobs with A/B blend offers you limitless timbres to explore.
COLORS
The sheet metal is powder coated in RAL colors with a glossy surface in industrial quality. The thick coating is tougher than a painted surface and therefore does not flake off immediately, even with strong impacts.
The color representation of the following pictures varies depending on the monitor used – therefore a RAL color fan is recommended.
Choose between these nine body colors:

TYPES OF WOOD
I am convinced that native tone woods are in no way inferior to tropical woods and, for sustainable reasons, I only use native timbers. Three types of wood are always available: ash, maple and walnut. Also cherry, pear, apple, plum or oak can be realized on request. Since every tree and thus every wood is unique, we will discuss the details, such as grain structure and fiber course, in the building process. The wood is carefully selected and stored for years. The veneer of the headstock, the fingerboard, the neck as well as the pickups and the bridge are all made from the same piece.

ERGONOMICS
The sheet metal is carefully rounded at all points of contact with the body. It can be played comfortably in all sitting and standing positions. The large armrest with a radius of 6 cm (2 3/8″) is a charm. The slightly springy body nestles against you and heats up faster than the inert mass of a solid wood body. Cosmo weighs only about 2.5 kg and can be played for hours without back pain.
