SINGLECOILS
TWANG!
Singlecoils are known for their crisp, transparent and well defined sound. I offer three different coil sizes. Fewer windings result in a more open sound with less output, but more highs and neutral mids. More turns produce a louder, midrange sound with more velvety highs and add compression. I wind the coils on a custom winding machine in an scatterwound pattern with medium thread tension and wax-pot them throughout. Body resonances are audible through the metal body of Cosmo, which leads to beautiful woody overtones and audible body resonances (percussions).

Open-hearted like the sound of an acoustic guitar. Wooden timbre, open, airy and crystal clear, but not too brittle. The exceptional dynamic range and high resolution let new ideas bubble out of your head. Your amp needs a good amount of gain to get distorted – choose it for clean to crunch sounds. Thanks to the neodymium magnets the SC1 has enough fat and punch to work with such an underwound coil. This PUP is something special!

The most “zen” pickup i had under my fingers. Its so well ballanced and just a pleasure to play. Compressed jet open sounding – definition in the bass, nice midrange and silky highs. Twang, sparkel, mojo… what ever you call it – the Magnet Mount SC2 got it.

Fat, compressed and powerful. Dark, but far from beeing muddy. Pronounced midtones with warm highs. Reminds me a bit of a P90. Makes quiet passages very loud, which is cool for sensitively played riffs. Very good reaction to percussive body hits. This singlecoil is my choice for crunch or distorted singlecoil sounds but i love its clean jazzy tones as well.
