HUMBUCKERS
PUNCH!
Humbuckers have two coils that cancel out most of the noise. They tend to have less highs and more mids than a single coil and are known for their quality in distorted sounds.
I offer three different coil sizes. Fewer turns result in less output, more treble and scooped mids, while more turns result in a louder, more mid focused resonance peak with reduced highs. I wind the bobbins on a custom made CNC winder in a scattered pattern with medium thread tension and wax pot them throughout. Because of the metal body of Cosmo they are still microphonic, which leads to beautiful wooden overtones.

BRIDGE POSITION
With only 1500 turns per coil this is a heavy underwound beauty. Its character is airy with smooth but pronounced highs and enough output thanks to the neodymium magnets. Acoustic like clean sounds in middle and neck positions. Tinny at the bridge – funky! It feels more like a singlecoil, than a humbucker but with less noise!

BRIDGE POSITION
A very linear humbucker with everything you will ever need. Compressed jet open sounding – typical humbucker warmth with a touch of singlecoil bite. Typical neodymium fatness without being muddy.

HB3 / COMPRESSED
Fat, compressed and powerful. Pronounced midtones with darkness in the trebles. Cool for jazz or stoner rock. Makes quiet passages very loud, which is also cool for sensitive riffs. Very good response to percussive body hits. This is suitable for higher gain, but keep in mind that the natural microphony of Cosmos is prone to feedback and strong audible body sounds when it is heavily distorted.
